This concert celebrates the future of jazz with an electrifying showcase of talent from Postgraduate students of the Royal Academy of Music and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, two of the most renowned conservatoires in the world.
Led by rising jazz pianist and composer Will Inscoe, the ensemble brings together some of the most exciting young musicians on the UK jazz scene. These postgraduate students represent the next generation of jazz artistry, blending technical virtuosity, innovative improvisation, and fresh interpretations of the genre.
The programme features an eclectic mix of jazz standards, original compositions, and imaginative arrangements that highlight the diverse influences and unique voices of this dynamic group. Under Will Inscoe’s guidance, the ensemble explores the boundaries of contemporary jazz while remaining rooted in its rich tradition.
Will Inscoe is an emerging figure in the jazz world, known for his lyrical touch, rhythmic inventiveness, and forward-thinking approach to composition. As a bandleader, his collaborative ethos inspires creativity and interplay among the musicians, making every performance a vibrant and compelling experience.
New Generation jazz showcase is formed of five professional jazz musicians who are all recent graduates of UK conservatoires. They have performed in London’s most prestigious venues such as Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express, the 606 Club and Oliver’s jazz bar.
